The distinct style and the added value of Made in Italy are the keys to the Collection Gommino Tod's Ferrari.
The unmistakable loafer in suede version in the iconic red Ferrari, is enhanced by details of the front strap together with the rivet metal with the historic emblem of the Prancing Horse.
The collaboration between Tod’s and Ferrari carries on through to the F/W 2013 season with the proposal of models that are the perfect synthesis of the most stylish Made in Italy products.
The style of the entire collection evokes the Maranello firm’s most representative stigmas such as the High Frequency insole which is shaped like the Ferrari seats, and the Cavallino Rampante logo that characterises the models which have now become an icon of the Tod’s for Ferrari collections and, in particular the Baracca gommino, dedicated to the Italian aviation ace Francesco Baracca.
At the end of World War I, the Baracca family granted the use of the symbol of his flying squadron to Enzo Ferrari as a good luck token for his racing cars: a Cavallino Rampante synonym of agility, speed and performance, that soon became the distinctive logo used by the Maranello firm.
This model features a camouflaged pattern insole, inspired by the colours of Baracca’s aeroplane’s cabin, and a rivet that boasts the colours of the Italian flag.
There is also a new model – the Greek Mask Moccasin that resembles the quilted material used to cover the seats on various Ferrari vintage cars.
Historical references revamped with a modern look are the fil rouge throughout the Fall/Winter 12/13 Collection.
