Witness to one of the most intense and hard-fought F1 seasons in the Scuderia's history, this brake disc belonged to the F2007 single-seater driven by Felipe Massa and is part of a series of mechanical components taken from Ferrari cars that have achieved great feats and are now collectable objets d’art for enthusiasts. The piece is displayed on a base with a carbon fibre finish, red insert and enamelled Shield, made in Italy by expert craftspeople, and can be picked up easily to be admired.
At the end of a Championship hard fought right down to the last race, in 2007 Ferrari took home 9 wins (6 from Räikkönen, 3 from Massa), 9 pole positions and 12 fastest laps, winning the Constructors' Championship with 204 points. The F2007 was used on the track, with its long wheelbase and excellent weight distribution being just two of its key strengths.
