  • This original exhaust pipe is now enjoying a new lease of life as a collector's item. The part belonged to the 248 F1, which competed in the 2006 Championship. Accompanied by a certificate of origin signed by the Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal, it stands on an elegant base with a carbon fibre finish, handmade in Italy and customised with a red insert and the enamelled Shield.

    2006 marked a turning point in the competitions: the year that saw the introduction of the 2.4-litre V8 engines and the return of mid-race tyre changes also witnessed the end of Schumacher’s era at Maranello, with his retirement announced after the Monza win. At the end of an incredible season, the Scuderia brought home seven victories from Schumacher and three from Massa, but didn’t manage to secure the title.
