The 48th Ferrari creation made its F1 debut on 31 March 2002, winning the Brazilian Grand Prix at the hands of Michael Schumacher and going on to triumph in 14 of 15 races, track after track. Ongoing success for Scuderia Ferrari that was topped off with the Drivers' and Constructors' titles.
With maximum power of 17,800 rpm and an engine capacity of 2996.62 cc, the 90° 10V longitudinal 051 engine was the undisputed star of a season that came to a premature end, the Drivers' title already scored at Magny Cours, a fifth for the German champion, and the Constructors' title secured at Budapest.
