The fountain pen and its iconic design pay tribute to the legendary figure of Enzo Ferrari, and to his role as builder of cars that have come to symbolise aesthetics, powerful engineering and ceaseless technological innovation. This fine item is imbued with the passion of Ferrari’s founder for the world of motor sport, defining its every aspect. The pen is made by Montblanc as part of the Great Characters line, in an exclusive limited edition of only 1898, commemorating the year of Enzo Ferrari’s birth. It comes with an exclusive case and booklet containing his most famous quotations.
The metal body has been designed to evoke the engine of the 125 S and celebrate the brand’s extraordinary ability in building cars. It is packed with references. “You cannot describe passion, you can only live it” engraved on the ruthenium-coated clip and “Se lo puoi sognare lo puoi fare” (If you can dream it you can do it) reproduce the unforgettable mottos of Enzo Ferrari. The dates on which the first Ferrari built in Maranello was presented and of the first Ferrari racing victory, on the cone, recall historic endeavours. Standing out in particular are the steering wheel of the 250 GTO and the nickname ‘Commendatore’, engraved on the handmade 750 gold nib, and the lacquer details in the unmistakable red of the 125 S, as well as the Montblanc emblem in quartz, embellished with a metal grille that takes inspiration from vintage cars. Enzo Ferrari’s signature, the address of the historic factory in Maranello and the Prancing Horse are also engraved on the cap.
