Assembled and finished by hand in the Amalgam workshops, this scale model of the 250 GTO 1962 Le Mans celebrates the iconic car – with chassis 3705GT Number 19 – with which Ferrari won the 1962 International Constructors’ Championship at Le Mans, also thanks to the prodigious skills of drivers such as Pierre Noblet and Jean Guichet. The legendary car is here faithfully reproduced in 1:18 scale and meticulously hand-painted to replicate every little detail, including the marks and mud splashes that were visible in that endurance contest’s last pit stops, and which gained the single-seater the nickname of “Race weathered”. Designed using archive drawings and a digital scanning of the original vehicle, the model is the outcome of over 800 hours of craftsmanship and features painstakingly accurate details and components, thanks to the engineering and aesthetic specifications provided by Ferrari.
This collector’s item, available in a limited edition of only 250 pieces, is accompanied by exclusive packaging inclusive of an archive Giclée print of the car in the 1962 race, transparent dustproof case and display base with a polished steel plate engraved with the model’s name. Each model also comes with an information booklet complete with a Certificate of Authenticity.
