The original piston of the 49th Ferrari single-seater, the F2003-GA dedicated to Gianni Agnelli, now lives on as a collector's item for fans. It sits on an elegant carbon fiber display base with a red insert and enameled Ferrari Shield logo, handcrafted in Italy. It is free-standing and simply slots into the base in order to be easily removed, allowing its details to be admired. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal, it is part of a series of mechanical components from Ferrari Formula 1 engines that have made history.
The 2003 World Championship saw competition intensify after two years of undisputed domination of the Scuderia and the last race on the Suzuka circuit marked the triumph of Michael Schumacher, who won the sixth title of his career. With the F2003-GA, the Scuderia won its fifth consecutive Constructors' title.
