2006 248 F1 original connecting rod
The connecting rod from the 248 F1, star of the 2006 season, is enjoying a new lease of life as an exclusive collectable.
In 2006 Ferrari was back in the limelight with 10 victories, battling it out with Renault until the end. With his retirement announced after the victory at Monza, Schumacher's time at Maranello came to an end that year: with 180 GPs raced with Ferrari, the German driver had achieved 72 victories, 58 pole positions, 53 fastest laps, 5 Drivers' titles and 6 Constructors' titles.
This connecting rod is part of a series of mechanical parts from Ferrari Formula 1 engines that have achieved outstanding results and have now become collectible pieces of art.
Accompanied by the certificate of authenticity signed by the Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal, it is displayed on an elegant base in genuine carbon fibre, with a distinctive red insert and enamelled Shield, handmade in Italy by expert craftsmen. The connecting rod is freestanding and slotted into the base so it can be easily picked up and viewed more closely.
Each connecting rod is a unique piece and a limited edition. The images may not correspond exactly with the item purchased.
